POOR NUTRITION, THE REAL ILLNESS OF THE THIRD MILENNIUM.
Over the last five decades, pollution, the food business becoming nothing more than a business as well as the accelerated lifestyle that we tend to lead have changed illnesses forever and have made HIV (AIDS), Ebola, etc. second to nutrition-related sicknesses. Malnutrition has become such a problem that it has taken on biblical proportions in both the health and social venues.
Malnutrition in poorer areas of the world has always been directly related to poverty. On the other hand, OBESITY has always considered to be A STIGMA since ancient times as a sign of opulence and abundance.
During its' golden years, Rome's wealthiest people were wrong when they thought that obesity was a sign of success and being an "upper class phenomenon"; the idea was that one could show off that they had the resources to eat whatever they wanted and did not show any regard to health concerns.
It is now well known that obesity is a kind of malnutrition and that it is also a real risk for those degenerative diseases such as: DIABETES MELLITUS, HEART ATTACKS, PANCREITIS AND ALL TYPES OF BLOOD VESSEL-RELATED PROBLEMS.
